General Purpose: Make a difference every day while building an exciting career in fitness. We are looking for a fitness professional with experience as a personal trainer and/or Group Fitness instruction. We expect you to contribute to our Member's experience in our facility and get to know them all on a personal level. Passion/excitement for health and wellness is a given and you are expected to lead our members through your example.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Class Instruction
- Be comfortable to teach and confidently lead groups of 3 – 12 clients ranging in fitness levels
- Bring unmatched positive energy and enthusiasm to every class
- Competently and clearly explain and demonstrate proper form
- Be able to quickly fix form, give cues and modifications when needed
- Work independently and/or with other trainers to program a variety of workouts to keep Members challenged and engaged
- Develop relationships with all Members, knowing names and what their why is
Qualifications:
- Understand the principles of physical fitness and proper exercise technique
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR/AED
- Group Fitness Instructor from an accredited source, such as NASM, ACE, AFFA, etc.
- Current Spin/Cycle Instructor Certification
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Physical effort required for daily duties include lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing and walking
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level in the environment is occasionally loud
- Extended workdays are a frequent occurrence, as are weekends and holidays as needed to support the business
