QUALIFICATIONS
• Valid California Clinical/Rehabilitative Services credential in Language, Speech & Hearing or a Speech-Language

Pathology Services credential required (completed by August 10, 2023); Clinical Fellows will be considered

  • Master’s Degree (completed by August 10, 2023)
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) knowledge strongly desired
  • Well-rounded in language development and articulation theory
  • Successful completion of field work

  • Passion for working with children; ability to motivate and support students in reaching high levels of academic success

ASSIGNMENT/DUTIES

  • Diagnose, evaluate and develop speech and language programs for students with disabilities and communication disorders
  • Assist parents in planning and implementing pupil activities
  • Provide instruction to students with an individualized educational program (IEP)
  • Assess and observe student progress on a regular basis, revise IEPs as appropriate
  • Attend special education inservice training, as required
  • Travel to different sites – assignment may be preschool to adult transition
  • 186 working days

SALARY AND BENEFITS
• Placement on Teachers’ 2023-2024 Salary Schedule; all starting on minimum Step 6 ($85,159) to maximum Step 10

($113,158); with 0 years of experience = Step 6 to 4+ years of experience = Step 10; plus $1,500 annual stipend to all
SLPs, including Clinical Fellows and another $3,500 annual stipend for all Licensed SLPs.
