Adelphi is seeking highly qualified and experienced School Speech Language Pathologists with significant expertise, to carry out educational assessments aimed at determining eligibility for special education services in Sunnyside, Washington. The speech-language pathologist will be tasked with delivering suitable speech-language pathology services to students within the school district, through performing speech evaluations and analysis, administering individual and group interventions, conducting observations, and offering consultations.

  • A signed letter of interest, stating interest and qualifications in providing these services

Responsibilities:

  • Assess referred students for special education through appropriate testing and diagnostic practice.
  • Interpret testing results and implications to school staff, parents and students as needed.
  • Writes speech reports and completes eligibility reports.
  • Confers with teachers and parents by conducting classroom observations, participating in student support meetings, and aiding in collaborative problem-solving while providing feedback.
  • Contributes to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEP).
  • Makes eligibility recommendations for general and exceptional students as needed.
  • Maintains accurate case records on referred students.
