JOB DESCRIPTION:
The cost analyst provides support for the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions of the plant / manufacturing unit. Contributions to cost savings projects, budget planning, and reporting performance indicators are key.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures accuracy of cost of production calculations.
- Analyzes and reports production metrics through daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing variance to standards.
- Provides credible, accurate, thorough, and in-depth financial analysis to support plant operations.
- Supports other finance functionality including asset inventory control, lean manufacturing, and spending audit.
- Develops accurate and detailed cost estimates for diverse marketing initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required / in progress preferably in accounting, business, or related field.
Manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
