Solid Works Designer Job at West Coast Cryogenic Services
West Coast Cryogenics located in Waco, TX. is looking to hire an experienced Solid Works Designer to work on fabrication drawings. Primarily, you will be working on equipment drawings and P& ID drawings. Position is full time with benefits after 90 days.
Responsibilities:
- Perform job takeoffs and project estimations
- Maintain drawing management in electronic job files and ensure drawing files are updated.
- Maintain and update a library of detailing standards
- Effectively use Solid works to produce accurate CAD drawings of equipment.
- Effectively and accurately complete assigned drafting and BoM tasks with guidance.
- Effectively produce basic/box projects with minimal unusual conditions or unusual product applications (e.g. food equipment) with few errors
- Read and understand drafting schedule to determine priorities with the aid of a Project Manager(s) and/or Drafting Manager.
- Possess basic understanding of construction engineering and use calculators/spreadsheets effectively and properly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in reading and manufacturing drawings in a professional working environment.
- Must have recent experience in CAD Drafting software, specifically SolidWorks
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Experience in performing job takeoffs and project estimations preferred
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office
