We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Software Engineer II – Windows within our IT team to help support our custom developed applications. As a Software Engineer II – Windows you will have the opportunity to write and debug programs; design and build integrations; peer review code; use debugging tools and development tools; tune the applications; and understand how the application interacts in a technical environment. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by collaborating, coordinating and performing the implementation of new, and maintenance of existing, integrations.

So, what will you be doing as a Software Engineer II?

• Work closely with end users to analyze and solve business problems
• Support and make improvements to existing programs adhering to established objectives and specifications
• Design, develop, test, and implement new programs, applications and processes
• Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle
• Troubleshoot questions/problems from the user community
• Unit test new programs to ensure that logic and syntax are correct and program results are accurate

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Strong verbal and written communication
• Displays a sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documentation

• At least 3 years of hands-on C# experience
• Strong experience Microsoft SQL Server architecting databases and pull data out of tables
• Experience developing Rest APIs

Things we consider a plus:

• Experience with .NET Core
• Understanding Azure services and architecture
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
• Experience with X++
• Experience with SSIS/SSRS
