TransCore, (TRN) a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Software Engineer to join our team in Auburn, Massachusetts.

Job Summary: We are looking for a SQL Server DBA/Developer to become a member of our software development team. The team is currently working on enhancements to our Customer Service Center software and the Toll Host, systems developed for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. System components include a client-server application, website, mobile application for Android and iOS, Web API, and a SQL Server database. Our systems utilize a tiered architecture and object-oriented technology. Applications are developed in VB.Net and C# using Visual Studio and MS SQL Server development tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain stored procedures
  • Develop and maintain SSIS packages
  • Support production backend processes
  • Develop new backend processes
  • Maintain code standards
  • Work closely with the team to maintain component reusability and integrity of the system
  • Troubleshoot and address problems wherever they exist

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Master's degree is preferred (Will consider engineering degree)
  • Experience with large databases
  • MS SQL Server
  • SSIS Packages
  • Visual Studio, VB.Net development experience optional
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and with a high quality of code
  • Ability to deal with complex processes
