Mercy Medical Center Mt. Shasta is a member of the Dignity Health system of health care providers and is a not-for-profit medical facility. We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations. In addition to our acute care hospital we also own and operate two Rural Health Clinics providing walk-in immediate care as well as scheduled appointments for routine medical needs. We are located in the northernmost area of California and are part of a network of care, including Mercy Medical Center Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff. Qualifications
- Master's in Social Work degree from school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education required
- Current California MSW license required
- One year of clinical and/or medical social work experience required
- Excellent customer service skills and presentation skills required
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills required
- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks or projects effectively required
- Ability to work independently as needed with a high degree of detail orientation required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities required
- Knowledge of contemporary behavioral and systems theories relevant to healthcare, end-of-life dynamics and interventions, supporting victims of abuse, neglect or violence and community or financial resources for under-served or vulnerable populations required
- Knowledge of SSDI, SDI and other government/county requirements and programs required
- Thorough comprehension of OBRA and Title 22 required
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite required
- Experience in an acute care hospital preferred
Pay Range
$39.39 - $49.19 /hour
