Social Work Aide (Caregiver) San Jose, CA

Alegre Staffing is a full service Staffing and Home Care Organization (HCO) celebrating over 25 years of service. We value diversity and we are the only LGBT Certified HCO in the Bay Area. We seek caregivers who have acute, skilled nursing, residential care and home care experience.
This position will work in an Adult Day Health Center and be part of a team serving Seniors and the Disabled with many aspects of the care recipient’s daily life activities, including: assisting the Social Workers with managing petty cash accounts, running errands, escorting participants, shopping, copying keys, trips to the Post Office and assisting with completing paperwork. The Social Work Aide will also spend quality time with participants in the day health center and give feedback to the Social Workers.
Qualifications::
- AA Degree, BA preferred in related field of human services
- Minimum one year experience working with the elderly or frail population required
- Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary team
- Flexible and organized individual who takes initiative and is very detail-oriented
- Computer literate
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Chinese, preferred
