Job Summary:

The Social Media Manager will define, manage and oversee Belden's global social media strategy. Reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing, this role will support corporate communications, Smart Buildings and Industrial Automation Solutions businessunits in the development, execution and governance of social media channels and messaging. This position will collaborate with stakeholders across functions, business platforms, regions and levels to understand needs and effectively deploy communication strategies and campaigns. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of a variety of social media channels, experience developing social media strategies for global B2B companies and the ability to implement, track and measure the success of social media efforts.


Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy
  • Assess current state of social media strategy across Belden; compare with industry and peer best practices.
  • Define and implement global social media strategy that includes considerations across Belden businesses and brands, regions, languages, cadence, content, mediums and channels.
  • Establish, track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for social channels; use a data-driven approach to decision-making to ensure initiatives are effective.
  • Prepare, allocate and manage social media budget.

Social Media Initiatives
  • Collaborate with functional stakeholders across marketing, corporate communications, human resources, etc. to execute social media campaigns in support of business goals.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert and advocate to plan, support and execute on social media campaign and advertising needs across the company.
  • Assess anddetermine strategy for employee advocacy, social-selling and recruiting for Belden associates.
  • Write, post and manage content across all social media platforms. Basic Adobe Illustrator skills are a plus to assist in development and update of graphics as needed. Collaborate with marketing team and third-party agencies to develop content as needed.

Social Media Governance
  • Act as super-user for enterprise social media platform (Oktopost). Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), governance and training for all users.
  • Review and consolidate social media tools across business units and brands to ensure streamlined social approach across Belden.
  • Define, monitor and maintain cohesiveness of Belden voice, tone, look and feel across all social media channels.
  • Monitor all social media channels; respond to or redirect all interactions as appropriate, ensuring a high level of customer service and responsiveness.
  • Establish andeducate marketing and communications teams across the company on B2B bestpractices and trends for social media.


Required Skills and Experience
  • Experience developing and implementing social media strategies, preferably for a B2B company with global operations
  • In-depth knowledge and experience using an array of social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, etc.) and social engagement tools (i.e. Oktopost)
  • Strong technical writing andediting skills for social media use (provide samples upon request)
  • Ability to build relationships, lead cross-functional teams and garner buy-in from all levels of the organization
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing and/or social media strategy and execution
  • Bachelor's degree
