Position Summary

The Slot Floor Ambassador is responsible for jackpot payouts and making themselves available to assist casino guests by providing friendly and courteous service always. The Slot Floor Ambassador also ensures compliance with company, departmental and gaming policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• A valid Nevada Gaming License is required and must be obtained before entering this position
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• 1 year minimum customer service hospitality background required
• 6 months minimum casino experience, Slot Operations experience preferred
• Working knowledge of general computer programs, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude always
• Well-groomed, dressed in professional business attire within the Ellis Island Casino appearance standards while on duty and on property

Asset Protection/Gaming Compliance

• Protect the confidentiality of Company documents, files, and equipment under immediate control
• Complies with all Gaming guidelines and signatory controls
• Ensures proper payment of machine jackpots, taking detail to accuracy
• Pay jackpots and provide guest service promptly
• Verify & ID guests to ensure players are of legal gaming age

Slot Technical Knowledge

• May perform duties that include: minor machine repairs that include, but not limited to printer jams and bill jams
• Perform all other Job-related duties as requested by Executive Management

Team and Guest Relations

• Effectively communicates with a radio
• Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service are provided and listens to and responds to guest concerns and questions
• Greeting guests, answering questions and being an informational resource regarding guest inquiries regarding rooms, restaurants and entertainment
• Serves as a Casino Ambassador on the casino floor by marketing and recruiting new guests to property by enrolling them to the PASSPORT PLAYERS CLUB
• Establishing and maintaining a professional relationship with repeat guests
• Monitoring the casino floor and attending to and anticipating guest’s needs; including jackpot payments, personally providing a comfortable, fun, experience for guests
• Maintains current knowledge of all events, promotions, and special functions by reviewing all available information to provide guests with accurate information to answer questions, handle special requests, aid the guests in enjoying the best possible experience and ensures guest satisfaction.
• Devotes significant time being visible and available on the casino floor to meet and greet guests during individual visits as well as during special events
• Sitting and or standing in one place for long periods of time will not be tolerated

Physical Requirements

Work indoors and move throughout the property over 75% of the time, lift, bend/kneel & work outdoors less than 25% of the time, hearing, vision, speech and literacy (critical) and ability to work in environments that are smoky, noisy, hot, cold or humid. Ability to move or lift a minimum of 50 lbs. up to 250 lbs.
