The Ski Check Attendant is responsible for the security of the guest’s equipment as well as maintaining a clean and efficient ski check operation. Provides general information to the guests about The Summit and The Base Area.

Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, The Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is a lot to do all year long.
Responsibilities:
Job duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide accurate storage of equipment for each guest.
  • Responsible for the security of equipment at all times during shift.
  • Meet and greet guests
  • Maintain a clean & safe ski check building.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction for the customer by possessing a general knowledge of the ski area and by acting as a guest services representative.
  • Perform general preparation work such as putting out racks & ropes, shoveling decks and walkways, sanding and salting, opening of ski check and assisting other departments as necessary.
  • Accurate cash handling skills
  • Responsible for operating ski check
  • Cleaning of ski check and surrounding area.
  • Must have excellent guest service skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Shoveling of snow is sometimes required.
Qualifications:
What we are looking for:
  • High school education or equivalent; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in dealing with the public and providing customer service is desired.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • A passion for providing outstanding customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle complaints and seek assistance when needed.
  • Able to work holidays and weekends per seasonal demands and business needs.

Wage and Benefit Info:
The wage range for this positions is: from $18.00 to $19.50
This is a non-benefited role.
All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff).
All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
