Our very well established and growing Manufacturing client isPARTNERING with STAFFING PARTNERS in search of an experienced Shop Manager for this IMMEDIATE FULL TIME DIRECT HIRE CAREER OPPORTUNITY.

SALARY: $80K - $100K per year

BENEFITS - Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life, PTO

LOCATION - Located within Stanislaus County (Modesto, Turlock, Oakdale, Riverbank, Hughson or surrounding cities)

HOURS: Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 4:30 pm

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle job orders between engineering and fabrication.
• Supervision of staff to include training, develop and mentoring employees.
• Monitors volume of production, record material usage and requirements and manage multiple projects consistently achieving deadlines.
• Accurately forecast labor for jobs and/or projects and create, develop, implement and enforce organized systems for tasks, storage, inventory, etc.
• Generate project budgets, submittals, equipment requirements, purchase orders, material lists, work force requirements, etc.
• Work closely with the Sales teams for quotes, deadlines, project development, parts procurement, inventory tracking and control.
• Generate estimates from blueprint drawings, specifications, field notes, field drawings, and actual field inspections.
• Deal directly with customers for deliveries.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or in related field a PLUS - OR - 5+ years of equivalent shop management experience.
• Prior experience in managing a fabrication shop required as well as welding and mechanical experience required.
• Able to comprehend and manage effective labor cost and quality control and able to provide written reports.
• Must be able to train and coach staff on a regular basis.
• Computer skills to include e-mail, Microsoft office, AutoCAD (a plus).
