Blue Max Trucking is looking for an experienced SHOP FOREMAN to join our team in Savannah, GA! This would be a working Foreman position.

Blue Max Trucking is one of the largest trucking companies in the southeast operating Dump Trucks, Dump Trailers, Low-Boys and Flatbeds. As Blue Max Trucking continues to grow, we have an opening for a WORKING SHOP FOREMAN. The role of the SHOP FOREMAN is to provide direct supervision of Service Technicians and assist them when necessary in diagnosis of mechanical difficulties and recommending needed repairs.

Duties Include:

• Lead, train and develop a team of mechanics
• Determining vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests
• Ensuring safety and maintenance of trucks by inspecting/diagnosing and repairing.
• Communicating with team members to help diagnose and repair vehicles.
• Completing preventative maintenance programs by inspecting and servicing trucks.
• Maintaining safe vehicle operations and following standards/procedures.
• Working with Fleet Service Manager and Inventory control to plan and develop effective maintenance strategies and maintain accurate inventory control.

Blue Max Trucking promotes a team environment and this foreman would be a key member of the Conway Team. Excellent people skills, effective communication, the ability to lead a team while multi-tasking, a positive attitude and the willingness to be a team player are requirements for this position.

Requirements:

• Ability to run diagnostic tests with truck specific software.
• Experience in the repair and maintenance of diesel heavy duty trucks.
• Must have experience in conducting annual vehicle inspections and knowledge of DOT requirements related to the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Fleet consists primarily of Kenworth T880s with the MX13 engines. There are also Mack units with the MP7 and MP8 engines.
• Strong communication skills, professional conduct, strong work ethic.
• Ability to lead, train and develop a team of mechanics
• Possess a positive can-do attitude
• Ability to work nights with some flexibility as business needs change.
• Class B CDL is preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must have own tools.
