Shift Managers lead our teams in providing our guests with the most exceptional experience in Southern Hospitality. Assistant Managers work with the General Manager or Area Director to develop and lead a team that drives traffic, sales, and profitability in our restaurants, by maintaining a customer centric culture. They do this by ensuring our teams greet guests with a genuine smile and warm and inviting spirit.

Essential duties for a Shift Manager may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Always maintains highest personal and professional appearance.
• Creates and implements plans that ensures flawless execution of Bojangles standards.
• Builds an inviting culture in the store, a place where our team members feel respected and valued.
• Leads Bojangles quality and safety standards through proper cooking procedures, product calls, temp logs, and waste management.
• Coaches and guides team members and Shift Managers to solve problems.
• Accepts payments from guests and makes change correctly.
• Explains menu and answer product questions for all guests.
• Bending, kneeling, standing and lifting (up to approximately 25 lbs. as necessary).

• Prior supervisor experience and ability to work 40 hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS

Bojangles operates and franchises more than 700 quick-service restaurants. Operating under the name Bojangles Famous Chicken & Biscuits, the restaurants specialize in flavorful chicken, biscuits and legendary iced tea. The menu also includes sandwiches and breakfast items which are served fresh all day. The chain includes more than 277 company-owned locations; the rest are operated by franchisees. Bojangles was founded in 1977 by Richard Thomas and partner Jack Fulk. Private equity firm Advent International purchased the chain from Falfurrias Capital Partners in 2011.

Like other franchising outfits, Bojangles allows its local operators to use the brand name and other intellectual property in return for royalties and fees. Franchising allows the company to expand its chain without the cost of construction and operating expenses. Bojangles' large number of corporate-run units provides additional revenue while giving the company a base from which to make changes to its menu and marketing.

The company has benefited from growing consumer interest in alternatives to traditional burgers-and-fries menu items. That interest has also drawn many more competitors into the market, including McDonald's and other sandwich chains that have added a number of poultry items to their menus.

Bojangles has been focused on expanding its chain through both new corporate-owned locations and additional franchised outposts. Most of the company's expansion efforts have targeted areas within its existing market. Bojangles' is also investing in renovations and upgrades for many of its existing restaurants.
