This position represents the most direct contact any single employee will have with our guests. As such The Aviator Server must be solely focused on providing a relaxed and enjoyable experience with an air of courteous professionalism, and a focus on genuine hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning duties as required by management
• Completion of all sidework, before, during, and after the shift as required by management
• Greet each customer when arriving at their table
• Thank the customers when they are leaving
• Presenting menus and helping customers select food/beverages
• Taking/serving orders and answering questions or making product recommendations
• Staying active and attentive to all guest’s needs at all times
• When a customer gets up and leaves the table, fold their napkin and put it on the chair before they return

Requirements

• The ability to multi-task while maintaining a calm composure and a friendly demeanor
• Utilizing good communication with fellow employees, management, and guests
• Demonstrating a solid knowledge of all The Aviator food and beverage items offered in the restaurant
• Fluently and efficiently navigating the restaurant’s point of sale system
• Coming to work on time and with a positive attitude every shift
• Demonstrating correct financial reporting and cash handling
• Following all policies and procedures as listed in The Aviator Employee Manual
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• High school diploma and food safety training will be considered a plus

All servers will undergo a 5-day training period after which they will function under a 60-day probationary work period. During training, and before being allowed to work any post-training shifts, all servers must complete and pass a Food/Menu Test, a Beverage Test, and a General Restaurant Knowledge Test. Additionally, successful completion of training is dependent on performance approval of the restaurant’s Designated Trainers and Managers.
