We are searching for an experienced Senior Trainer with a fun and enthusiastic disposition who is capable of teaching and motivating a wide range of personalities and learning styles. The ideal candidate for this role has a call center background, shares an understanding of the organization's growth objectives, and can professionally represent the company internally and to the client.

The Senior Trainer supports, launches, and delivers training programs and events for TSI call centers. The Senior Trainer facilitates learning through a variety of delivery methods to develop participants' skill sets. Training methodologies may include classroom instruction, online learning, hands-on, conference calls, and train-the-trainer sessions. The senior trainer supports the Training Manager in a variety of ways, including all pre-training prep work, training delivery, learning schedules, and maintaining participant records in our Learning Management System. This includes new hire training, QA management, and continuous improvement training. Must exhibit good business judgment and acumen to be both confident and flexible in their views.

Senior Trainers provide leadership in developing, delivering, managing, and maintaining all training programs. Senior Trainers must communicate verbally and in writing effectively with diverse audiences, deliver various required reports to key stakeholders, manage attendance and behavior in class, and ensure training is delivered at a professional level. Senior trainers support the nesting period, ensuring a smooth transition for all of our new teammates. In addition, our Senior Trainer will deliver ongoing training to all teammates as needed.

Reports to: Training Manager

Location:

HQ office in greater Los Angeles. Our newly opened, state-of-the-art office is FWY close and near Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, CA. Work to be conducted in the Valencia office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver new hire induction and multiple client-specific training programs. Deliver all aspects of these programs for new hires and refresher training for tenured employees.
  • Ensure training materials are updated and current at all times, through periodic reviews of content, client-notified changes, or internal department requests.
  • Consistently update product knowledge, processes, and documentation to ensure continuous education.
  • Provide real information and valid scenarios to classes, for skill practice, calibrations, and monitoring.
  • Communicate with diverse audiences (e.g., employees, management, and other sites) to provide information and clarification regarding training programs, actions, policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Evaluate the performance of agents using tools available such as assessments, observations, and provide recommendations under the guidance of the Training Manager.
  • Monitors progress of new team members by coaching and developing for improvement and providing on-the-job training as needed.
  • Maintain positive, consistent and effective communication.
  • Respond appropriately to learner needs (clarification, examples, feedback, coaching & listening)
  • Entry level learning management system support to include adding/deleting users and course completion reporting.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Results oriented with ability to manage change while creating a positive environment.
  • Must have a dynamic and engaging classroom presence.
  • Two (2) years of training experience expected.
  • Assertiveness - Ability to work proactively and in a self-confident manner with minimal direction.
  • Fun – You are a friendly and passionate pro who enjoys what he/she does and reinforces company culture.
  • Communication – Exceptional storyteller - both in written and oral form. Strong knowledge of education and understanding of different learning styles.
  • Emotional Intelligence - Ability to relate to others, take calculated chances, build quick relationships with teammates, clients, and the Executive Team and work as a part of a team with energy and enthusiasm.
  • Problem Solving - Ability to anticipate needs before they arrive to find solutions.
  • Language – Proficiency in Spanish a plus

Requirements

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Education or related field or commensurate experience in a directly related field.

Experience Requirements:

  • Min 2 yrs in a similar role including experience in a multi-location / multi-country business environment
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Zoom, etc.
  • Knowledge of the outsourcing and/or sales and marketing agency industry preferred.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems and learning capture/development applications.
  • Experience working with communications practices, principles and procedures for both on-site and on-line presentations.

Benefits

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
