On the behalf of a client in the oil and gas industry, Emergent Method is seeking a qualified professional to fill the role of Senior Systems Analyst. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role provides analysis, development, and support of computer systems related to the commercial operation of the organization and its affiliates.

The ideal candidate is experienced in database development and business intelligence system design and development, as well as application integration, development, and enhancement. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana, metropolitan area.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Communicate with vendors, employees, and key stakeholders to support system implementation and integration projects
• Implement complex enterprise applications
• Assist in maintaining cybersecurity standards for enterprise applications
• Interface with the user community to gather and document new system and system change requirements and provide technical support and consultation
• Develop system integrations and ancillary support systems with Microsoft development stack
• Perform database development to support system integration and enhancements
• Develop and modify complex SQL routines
• Develop business intelligence (BI) systems and reports to support the BI needs of the organization
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for enterprise applications
• Manage all aspects of the application lifecycle including idea formulation, requirements, information gathering, development, testing, documentation, training, support, and maintenance
• Assist in maintaining overall enterprise application architecture
• Support tier 2 and 3 enterprise architecture issues, including tier 1 support as needed
• Assist in onboarding and offboarding duties related to enterprise application employees
• Manage SharePoint development and assist in SharePoint administration
• Work with vendors to assist in the technical implementation and integration with their systems

Requirements for this position include the following:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information sciences, management information systems, information systems and decision systems, or a related technical field
• At least 5 years of relevant experience that clearly demonstrates comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Proficient in technical expertise of relevant software, databases, and systems
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with an ability to explain complex technical issues to end users and key stakeholders
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Quick learner with the ability to pivot swiftly based on changing direction
• Ability to multitask and juggle multiple requests and competing priorities
• Self-motivated and deadline-oriented professional who can complete tasks without supervision
• Ability to be a team player and foster a cooperative environment with the project team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft certifications and knowledge of entire Microsoft 365 suite
• Transact SQL, PL/SQL, ANSI SQL
• Oracle and MS SQL Server development experience
• SSRS and Crystal Reports experience
• Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET, C# preferred
• Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI
• JDE Enterprise 1 experience considered a plus
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
