Clinical Programmer II or Senior Programmer

Responsibilities

• Develops and performs quality control on tabulation datasets via SAS programming.
• Liaises with other departments to properly implement data models (eg. SDTM/ADaM).
• Programs tabulation datasets using SAS.
• Serves as a key member of the project team by attending team meetings and working with biostatisticians, data managers and project managers.
• Performs programming using techniques such as macro language, advanced data manipulation, and other procedures within the application.
• Annotates case report forms (aCRFs), and (or) performs quality control on aCRFs.
• Validates data using Pinnacle 21, Interpret the results of the Pinnacle 21 output, and make updates to SDTM to resolve Pinnacle 21 findings.
• Creates Clinical Study Reviewer’s Guides to accompany SDTM define.xml files.
• Works closely with team SDTM members daily.
• Supports development of deliverables, such as SDTM datasets, and define.xml files.

Experience Desired

• Designing, developing, validating SDTM datasets and SDTM define.xml files.
• Exhibits excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrates a good understanding of tabulation data standards (SDTM) and basic knowledge of analysis data structure standards (ADaM).
• Demonstrates leadership skills in the coordination of programming projects and teams.
• Demonstrates knowledge of computer programming, statistical analysis systems (SAS), and other procedural languages.

Experience Required

• Bachelors or Master's degree in a quantitative or scientific degree, such as statistics, biostatistics, or related field
• SAS Programming experience – (ideally 3 yrs or more)
• Major experience in the Pharmaceutical/CRO industry
