Job Summary:

Our team is seeking a highly motivated Scientist, to contribute to the identification and development of novel small-molecule drugs. The successful candidate will design, plan, and support in vivo studies in conjunction with the pharmacology group to nominate compounds for further development. They should have extensive hands-on experience in developing and running in vivo tumor efficacy models in rodents. They will utilize new technology to support drug development at the pre-clinical level. They will be asked to interpret experimental results and present work at company meetings. They will oversee and advise junior scientists.

Education and Experience requirements:

• Ph.D. with 0-4 years industry experience in biology, pharmacology, physiology, or related discipline (e.g., DVM) in a biotech/industrial setting
• Train, manage, and develop junior scientists to design, analyze, and execute in vivo studies and tissue and plasma analysis (e.g., Western blot, RNA isolation, PCR, NanoString, ELISA)
• Experience ensuring quality control and accurate analysis of data provided by CROs
• Cross-departmental coordination and project management experience required
• Experience with oncology models is required
• Expertise in standard dosing techniques in rodents (e.g., PO, IP, SC, IV), blood collection techniques (e.g., retro-orbital, cardiac puncture), and standard necropsy of major organs
• Experience in planning and conducting in vivo IND-enabling studies is preferred

Pay & Benefits:

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120,000 to $135,000 depending on relevant skills, experience, and education. In addition, this position is eligible for target bonus, long-term-incentives, 401k retirement savings plan with company match, and a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
