JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Field Sales Support Specialist role is to grow and maintain business for ABB OPTICAL. This includes providing value added services to customers and the strategic partnerships team. The job requires teaming up as well as solo work on projects for sales development. Supporting the Vice President and Directors in project management and leadership for the Strategic Partnerships Team.
Essential Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties and special projects within the department may
be assigned. Support the Directors with training, project management and general support activities.
  • Account maintenance support - Assist Account Manager as needed to close the loop on outstanding issues by working with resolution department and the customer on a case by case basis
  • Project support: Each project will have a goal and time expectation of completion.
    Examples of projects:
    • Customer On-boarding
    • Strategic Customer Service co-ordination
    • Training co-ordination across departments and pillars
    • Customer sales tracking
  • Reporting Support- Running business reviews at the end of the month to assist director/manager in maximizing sales and margin opportunities
  • Takes the lead on all Sales Support projects/company initiatives, help with scripting and managing projects
  • Assist with training/mentoring new Strategic Partnership team hires
  • Takes initiative to begin projects without being told as well as being the lead to calculate and report the updates and results
  • Meets all deadlines
  • Maintains a positive attitude
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
  • All Field Sales Support Specialist requirements
  • At least two (2) years of ABB OPTICAL GROUP Sales Support Experience
  • Strong working relationships with both External and Internal Partners (Directors, RSM’s, Account Managers, Internal ABB departments and Manufacturer partners)
  • Adhere to company sales policy and guidelines
  • Employment in good standing

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (safety/weight belt provided, if requested). Specific vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus is required.
