The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority’s Marketing and Merchandising Division is seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Product Management. This position will direct and oversee product selection, product removal, product expansion and contraction, lotteries and pricing. This position will have supervisory responsibilities which include but are not limited to hiring, training and managing the product and marketing managers. Our Senior Manager of Product Management will also oversee the daily workflow and schedules and conduct performance evaluations.

Job Duties and Primary Areas of Support
  • Lead listings process
  • Lead allocated planning process
  • Proactively identify products of benefit to Virginia ABC
  • Identify products to be delisted
  • Research consumer trends and products
  • Recommend products for promotional programs
  • Portfolio SKU rationalization
  • Discount program evaluation
  • Work closely with other Marketing sections and other divisions, especially Retail Operations and Logistics
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Attend industry events to maintain understanding of new products and trends.
  • Sets success metrics and thresholds, and monitors product performance accordingly.
  • Monitor category and price tier growth/decline to inform product need and selection
  • Improve assigned processes for continued effectiveness and efficiency
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, merchandising or related field. (Required)



Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA (Preferred)
  • 5 Years of experience in marketing, product management, or related field. (Preferred)
