The Team
Indeed Program Managers are responsible for effectively delivering business results by championing a culture of accountability and consistent project & program management practices. We are facilitators and motivators, working across departments and offices to ensure collaboration, communication, visibility, and successful delivery of programs and projects.

We need a Senior Manager, Program Management, to help guide and deliver value to large business initiatives, while managing a team of Program and Project Managers.

What you will do:

  • Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to drive project planning, execution, actively managing project risks/issues and communicating project status in an objective manner to all stakeholders.
  • Personally lead transformation initiatives and oversee and be accountable to the effective delivery of the projects in the within the Job Seeker portfolio
  • Direct and be accountable for related business transformation.
  • "Zoom in" to program to help manage and course correct as needed.
  • Understand the relationships and impacts of programs and initiatives across business units.
  • Apply specialized knowledge of industry standards/practices to programs and initiatives.
  • Demonstrate mastery of program strategy and execution within the business domain.
  • Be able to represent your business area, internally and externally.
  • Provide recommendations on complex program dependencies that could affect the success of other initiatives. Be critical of established processes and suggest relevant improvements.
  • Provide analysis and thought leadership on issues critical to the success of the business's strategic goals.
  • Understand your strategic partners objectives. Advise on the necessary programs to achieve success and provide value to Indeed. Develop a roadmap or framework for those programs.
  • Drive strategic alignment across business units to succeed against company-wide goals.
  • Own business outcomes by working with business area leaders to influence strategy. Drive adoption of new processes across the organization.
  • As a servant leader, have a direct and positive impact on a wide number of people and teams; be accountable for the work of others. Provide strategic opportunities to others to help close their skill gaps

Who You Are

About you.
  • 10+ years of experience as a software development project/program manager working on cross-functional efforts
  • 5+ years managing project/program managers
  • Decisive - gathers the necessary data to make informed, critical decisions effectively.
  • Exude team-building, motivating, and conflict-resolving qualities.
  • Familiar with organizational maturity and related transformation.
  • Strong in prioritization frameworks and matching skills to the right work.
  • Able to manage key stakeholder relationships, including directors and above.
  • Experience influencing senior management (Director and above) and setting expectations for major cross-functional initiatives.
  • Comfortable delivering bad news when the project goes sideways at the same time taking accountability for getting it back on track.
  • Highly adaptable in a fast-paced hyper-growth environment; able to thrive within ambiguity.
  • You have executed corporate-wide initiatives: defined project plans, coordinated resources, managed implementation activities, and developed all processes associated with program rollout and ongoing support.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include quarterly bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), an open Paid Time Off policy, and many region-specific benefits.

Austin 133,000 - 193,000 USD per year

NYC Metro Area 162,000 - 236,000 USD per year

Seattle 169,000 - 245,000 USD per year
