Our customer is searching for an IT Specialist with at least 7 years of experience. This is a contract based position, in-person and located in San Juan P.R.
In this position, you will use your expertise to monitor and maintain the IT systems. You will focus on specific computer networks, databases, and a system administration. Under supervision, you will install, configure, service, repair and maintain information technology systems in both a stand-alone and client-server environment. You will also participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the organization and ensure that system hardware, operating systems, and software systems are fully operational.
IT Specialist Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide for the implementation, configuration, deployment, and support of systems, including, but not limited to client computing devices and servers
- Administer network and data security, including directory, group policy, firewalls, antivirus, email security, etc.
- Prepare estimates used by management for purposes of planning, organizing, and scheduling work
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
- Install and configure wireless networking equipment
- Create, analyze, report, convert, or transfer data, using specialized applications program software
- Provide training to new employees
Requirements
-At least 7 years of experience working as a IT Specialist.
-2-3 years of experience supporting, configuring, executing changes and developing reports in SmartSheet.
-Strong experience working with SmartSheet administration including control center, reporting and dashboard.
-Solid experience working with backup and storage solutions.
-Excellent server administration skills!!
-Very familiar working with Datacenter Architectures.
-Good documentation skills with strong focus on details.
-Very organized, teamwork and good planning skills.
-Always showing a strong sense of urgency with matters that he/she faces.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
