Description & Requirements

Our open Senior Accountant role will support the North America facilities related to product costing. This includes costing support to the plant controllers- finance POD leads- and general manufacturing operations. Oversight of monthly financial reviews- balance sheet analysis and reconciliations. This individual will develop and manage financial processes and policies related to product costing- including monthly close processes- major planning cycles and managing general costs- and will be supporting any internal or external audits execution and results impacting US GAAP financial reporting requirements. This position will also participate in various projects and ad hoc requests supporting M&A activities as well as process improvement and efficiency exercises. This role will operate extensively within the SAP material ledger and general ledger applications- as well as management reporting and other tools.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of North America external manufacturing locations – leads the month end close process for these locations- completing SAP material ledger close and investigating- escalating- and resolving variances timely

  • Ownership of month-end closing process and reconciliations for external manufacturing locations

  • North American Controllership KPI owner – responsible for all project related KPI tracking and documentation

  • Leads ad hoc analysis and information requests coming from the designated external manufacturing locations – interacting with various business partners and leaders to support their plans and KHC strategy

  • Develops training materials and conduct trainings for accounting- finance- and operations stakeholders as needed

  • Provides AOP support to the operations finance organization

  • This role will have physical inventory observations assigned annually as travel policy allows

  • Executing various product costing process documentation and enhancement initiatives within the team and supporting related supply chain and operations projects

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting or product costing

  • CPA preferred; Big 4 or large regional public accounting experience preferred

  • SAP experience and advanced excel skills preferred

  • Advanced abilities in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Technology savvy with demonstrated ability to learn systems and processes quickly

  • Analytical capabilities and ability to review large data sets

  • SOX experience preferred

  • Growth mindset and problem-solving skills are critical to success
