SUMMARY:
Supports the Bank’s analytics function through various data analysis and dashboard development. This includes data visualization, historical trend analysis, forecasting, customer and product data analysis, market and peer research, credit and loan analysis, as well as other projects as assigned. Uses data analysis and visualization techniques to gain insight into the Bank’s data using modern analytics tools and methods. Works independently and with members of the business intelligence, data management, the profitability and data science teams and interact regularly with members of the Bank’s senior management.

LOCATION:
This position is 100% remote within the Bank’s footprint. Employee will work full time remote outside of a WesBanco location (may occasionally attend in person meetings, although primary functions of the role are performed remotely.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts various data analysis and report development utilizing applicable visualization and analytics tools.

Assists in the preparation, development, modeling, and analysis of reports, metrics, presentations, and dashboards.

Works with subject matter experts from across the organization to perform data analysis, build statistical models, and develop visualizations to gain insight.

Independently performs data gathering, analysis, mapping, reconciliation, and testing to verify the integrity of the data used for analysis.

Identifies opportunities to use data to develop new strategies and improve business performance.

Performs market and peer research utilizing the various data sources available to the Bank.

Enhances the Bank’s data with third party sources of data as needed to perform analysis.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills with demonstrated ability to transform large amounts of data into an understandable, concise, and visual presentation to communicate effectively with leadership.

High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficient with Business Intelligence reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikSense

Strong MS Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charting, etc.)

Experience with R or similar statistical programming language

Basic knowledge of data management and SQL programming language

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Bachelor’s degree in an analytical discipline such as Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or related subject, Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 1 year of experience conducting data analysis and visualization.

Experience in the Financial Services Industry preferred.

Demonstrated experience using advanced data visualization and statistical techniques to solve business problems.
