Cervello is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our growing team. You will be responsible for accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, financial reporting, tax management & compliance, bookkeeping and month-end close. You will be part of an overall Operations team that manages HR, Staffing, Finance and Accounting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the fiscal closing process including closing journal entries and sub ledgers timely and accurately and in accordance to IFRS. This includes analysis, interpretation and reporting of budget and actual variance and financial results
• Responsible for general ledger functions including balance sheet reconciliations along with journal entry review and analyses as part of the monthly close process.
• Responsible for accounts receivable including cash receipts and collections and bi-weekly cash forecasting.
• Manage accounts payable cycle function to ensure that all payments are processed on time, according to company policy and within forecasted limits.
• Manage annual audits with external auditors as necessary.
• Proactively seek ways to improve processes to help reduce time to close, improve accuracy of the underlying accounting records and improve operational inefficiencies.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, supervisory experience is highly desired.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with a variety of functions across the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Professional skepticism and a willingness to question why something is being done.
• Ability to work proactively and independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high growth environment
• Solid understanding of general accounting concepts
• Advanced excel skills such as pivot tables and data analysis.
• Prior experience with SAP is a plus
