POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the monitoring of the security station equipment. This is a part time, per diem position. Hours worked may not exceed 1,000 per year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors the x-ray machine while packages, briefcases, purses, etc. are checked. If there is a problem, will alert Security Officer.
- Monitors the walk-thru metal detectors as person walks through.
- When necessary, will use handheld wand to further search a person.
- Could be required to monitor a door camera system.
- Assists visitors with questions and directs them to specific offices.
- Reports unusual, questionable or suspicious activities to a supervisor.
- Obeys all safety rules and regulations.
- Must be able to work various shifts as assigned by a supervisor.
- As required, performs similar or related duties and a variety of services.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be in continued good condition, both physically and mentally; capable of working shift work.
- Mature and courteous manner is essential.
