M Health Fairview is looking for a Security Officer for our St. John's Hospital location in Maplewood, MN. Our security officers provide safety and security for our patients, visitors, and staff as well as respond in emergency situations and patrol the grounds. This position is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) on the day, evening, or night shift with 8 hour shifts and an every other weekend rotation. Responsibilities

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

Patrolling designated areas and maintaining a safe environment

Detailing daily activities in our report writing system.

Responding to calls such as crisis calls, and calls working with unpredictable populations requiring teamwork and clear communication.

Utilizing skills such as: de-escalation techniques, conflict resolution, and risk analysis. (Don't worry....we train you!)

Cultivates a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking.

Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served

Qualifications

Required

• Valid Class D Driver’s License and DMV record which meets MHealth Fairview Insurability requirements as vital for the job.
• Must pass M Health Fairview background check and able to pass pre-assignment training within probationary period.

Preferred

• Hospital Security Experience

Pay: $19.04 - $26.89 per hour
