Job Summary:

The Security Greeter is the first employee a customer will encounter when entering our dispensary. The security Greeter must present a friendly and positive demeanor while welcoming each visitor and facilitating a compliant ID verification and customer check-in procedure. The security Greeter has general safety and security responsibilities at the retail facility.

Accountabilities:

• Greets customers with a friendly and positive demeanor
• Verifies customer's state issued ID using a computer system
• Monitors and operates video surveillance and security alarm systems
• Monitoring all entry points
• Secures property and personnel by patrolling and inspecting the property and facility
• Ensures compliance with RWB safety and security policies and procedures, regulations, etc.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment by being vigilant and responsive
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures, and notifying first response agencies as appropriate
• Responds to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized persons by calling police, fire department and/or other first response agencies
• Investigates and reports disturbances, crimes and suspicious activities to local law enforcement
• Reporting and documenting events and incidents in accordance with policy & procedure
• Assists with daily opening and closing duties
• Answers and directs phone calls and takes messages
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
• Be a team player and assisting fellow employees when needed

Skills/Competencies required:

• Ability to interact with customers and team members respectfully and politely
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must successfully complete a background record check
• Knowledge of security (alarm and video monitoring) systems is preferred
• Must pay close attention to detail and be observant
• Strick adherence to HIPAA
• Experience in de-escalating confrontational or emotional situations

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be 21 years of age at time of hire
• Valid State driver’s license or State ID card
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry
• 1+ year(s) of security and/or retail sales experience
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office experience preferred (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
