School Social Worker/Counselor: K-8/Part-Time/Certified or Licensed/22-23 SY (W. Pasco) Job at Catapult Learning
Catapult Learning, LLC is looking for qualified and experienced School Counselors/Social Workers in Pasco County, Florida!
We have a school in the Shady Hills area in need of a part-time Certified School Counselor/Licensed Social Worker for the 2022-2023 school year and beyond. This position has an in-person schedule of 10-12 hours per week and focuses on individualized or small group counseling for diverse students in grades K-8. The ideal candidate will be able to service multiple grade levels and effectively provide students, staff, and parents with clinical, therapeutic, and specialized counseling services and mental health resources.

School Counselor Job Duties:
- Counsel individual or small groups of students in multiple grade levels in a face-to-face school setting.
- Conduct individual, small group, and classroom (when appropriate) guidance counseling with students with signed parental consent. Counseling may focus on academic, emotional, behavioral, or developmental issues to promote enhanced school functioning.
- Provide support to families, classroom teachers, school principal and other school personnel to maximize effectiveness of services.
- Ensure supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from classrooms/learning stations. Climbing stairs and light lifting may be required.
- Perform data entry in a timely fashion to meet deadlines (student attendance, progress reports, parent and classroom teacher communication forms, compliance documentation).
- Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by company, local, state, and federal agencies.
- Maintain consistent communication with company supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents.
- Other duties as assigned.
School Counselor Requirements:
- FL School Counselor Certificate/Statement of Eligibility or Social Worker License
- Master Degree in a Counseling Field
- Experience in a school setting and/or with counseling school-aged children
- Willingness and ability to work with various grade levels
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Zoom/Teams preferred
- A passion to help students!
