Mitchell Tees & Signs, in Pittsford Vermont, is searching for motivated individuals to join our sales force. We are a provider of custom decorated apparel, vinyl, and promotional products. We are looking to expand our coverage and better service our existing territories. We have immediate openings to cover the following counties in Vermont: Franklin, Orleans, Essex, Lamoille, Caledonia, Grand Isle, Chittenden, Addison, Washington, and Orange. We also service eastern New York, and Western New Hampshire.

This position offers the possibility to work remotely for applicants residing outside of Rutland County. If you want to be part of a team, yet have an opportunity for individual success, and earn unlimited compensation, this would be an exciting position for you.

Your experience selling decorated apparel or other customized product is valuable to us, as is experience selling to schools and/or sports organizations.

Ability to work with our processes and inside people to get details right, manage your time productively and follow through to satisfy clients and build long-term relationships to win repeat business and foster long-term growth is essential.

Qualified applicants should:

  • Have a professional, outgoing personality.
  • Be able to work independently and be a motivated self starter.
  • Be able to multi task and prioritize effectively.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Have a basic understanding of, and comfort level working with computers, to be able to enter orders into our production software system.
  • Have a valid driver's license and their own reliable transportation. Travel within Vermont and surrounding states is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of product lines and decorating techniques, as well as similar information for competitive products.
  • Secure new accounts by planning and organizing a daily work schedule to call and visit prospects.
  • Service existing accounts, giving immediate attention to issues that require resolution.
  • Develop and execute strategies to reach “hard-to-see” customers and potential customers.
  • Attend clinics, trade shows, and exhibitions as required to further the introduction, promotion, and sales of Company product lines.
  • Participate in scheduled Company sales meetings.
