Sales Development: Prospecting, Qualifying and Presenting Activities

  • Collects and analyzes information on prospective customers to qualify them for new business opportunities.
  • Prepares and delivers persuasive and informative presentations to prospects on the company products.
  • Collects and analyzes information on established customers to qualify them for repeated business opportunities.
  • Visits potential and existing customers to identify new technical applications/business opportunities.
  • Identifies future customer product applications/requirements and actively communicates this important information to appropriate the U.S. and Japan personnel.
  • Studies and researches competitors and their products to identify their weaknesses
  • Communicates all-important competitive information obtained from customers or others to appropriate the U.S and/or Japan side.
  • Expected to participate in marketing activities such as attending and helping out with exhibit trade shows and promotional event


【Business Development】

  • Prepares sales reports, activity reports and forecasts for management planning purposes and communicates their priorities and production capacities to appropriate the US and/or Japan personnel.
  • Identifies future customer product applications/requirements and actively communicates findings to appropriate the US and/or Japan personnel.
  • Sends quality assurance reports, quotes, and delivery confirmations to all assigned customers.
  • Issues sales orders and purchase orders.
  • Maintains customer record/file system on an on-going basis shared by other colleagues and prepares customer updates as needed.
  • Acts as a liaison between customers, the US and Japan management.


【Technical Support】

  • Communicates technical information with design engineers and R&D personnel to guide customers

with design/development of the company products.

  • Provides support to customers in all aspects of product design when the company engineering support is

needed and communicates with the Japan side.

  • Negotiates with customers and design group to provide the best solution to meet technical

requirements and price expectations.


【Supplier Management Support】

  • If necessary, Supports the company's Buyer and Manager to ensure the overall operations of Suppliers located

in North America including quality, delivery and cost so that the company product meets customers’

expectations.


【Other and Miscellaneous】

  • Seeks constant improvement, more efficient and less expansive ways and means in work processes.
  • Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Manager.
  • Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
  • Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisors for solution.
  • Maintains good communication with supervisors, other staff members and outside contacts.
  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area


Qualifications:

Knowledge and experience with Ceramic

Associate's degree or equivalent post-high level education

3 years of related previous experience

Valid driver's license and evidence of insurance
