About our Company:
Life gathers around water in Texas, and Shady Villa Hotel honors our spring-fed culture and the community that grows near it. The design of the 48-room hotel harkens back to mid century road trips and is situated on the north bank of Salado Creek. The Shady Villa Hotel is home to a restaurant and poolside bar, and several other spaces for hosting events and hanging out.

Bunkhouse has designed and developed a celebrated portfolio of hospitality projects including Hotel San José, Hotel Saint Cecilia, Austin Motel, and Jo’s Coffee in Austin, Hotel Havana and Ocho in San Antonio, El Cosmico in Marfa, Texas, The Phoenix in San Francisco, California, and Hotel San Cristobal in Baja, Mexico.

We're Looking for Someone With:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year customer service experience
  • Ability to learn new applications/systems
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and relation skills including guest incident follow up
  • Maintains the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
  • Resourceful problem-solving skills
  • Task oriented, ability to work with deadlines
  • Holds self accountable to consistently maintain high performance standards
  • Strong work ethic with a high level of integrity and dedication to the values of the company
  • Ability to organize tasks and schedule to maintain a timely flow of bookings and information
  • Computer knowledge Microsoft Office and office skills required
  • Familiarity with hotel systems such as PMS and POS systems

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receives sales leads and follows up (voice mail, email, written notes)
  • Communicates lead follow up results to the sales manager, working to negotiate contract terms
  • Inputs all information into Tripleseat for tracking and follow up
  • Works with rooms staff to ensure group events are scheduled and serviced appropriately
  • Works with food and beverage staff to ensure events are scheduled and serviced appropriately
  • Works with accounting to ensure billing is accurate and tip distributions are accurate
  • Adheres to all departmental policies, service procedures and standards expected.
  • Performs other tasks or projects as assigned.
