Summary:

The Sales Associate is a full-time position. The Sales Associate works both in-house and in the field. The Sales Associate reports directly to the Sales Manager.
Work hours are in office, from either 8:00AM to 4:30PM, or 10AM to 6:30PM. A typical day includes sitting or standing at a computer, answering phones, meeting with sales team, communicating with customers, data entry, traveling to a job site to inspect and take photos, attending networking events.

Responsibilities & Duties:

We expect employees to be on time, and prepared to perform the best they can, every day. The sales associate job responsibilities include any and all tasks involved in interacting with team members and customers via in person, email, phone, text or other. The sales associate is expected to be at their workstation during work hours. Working on a computer will encompass a majority of the day. Must be able to keep an organized workstation and schedule of tasks.

Daily tasks include outbound customer calling, tracking and follow up. Identify sales prospects and contact these and other customers as assigned. Identify and address client objectives. Learn about and explain company products and services to potential clients. Identify target neighborhoods for canvassing. Follow-up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity. Participate in marketing events such as mixers, trade shows, and events. Compile and generate spreadsheets and summary reports. Additional customer service and sales tasks as assigned. Tasks listed are not the only requirements of the job.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Be able to work well in a flexible, “roll up your sleeves” and dynamic work environment.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage time well.
  • Able to write reports and presentations.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with staff across multiple departments.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office and G-Suite software.
  • Experience with various forms of office software and equipment.
  • Customer Service: interact with potential customers, and current customer base.
  • Provide internal customer service to teams.

Requirements:

Sitting, walking, standing for long periods of time. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to persuade and influence others. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM software. Excellent reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Maintain a professional, respectful appearance and attitude. Possession of a valid driver’s license. Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include some nights and weekends. Work requires local travel. Use of personal vehicle is expected, with mileage reimbursement.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee needs to be able to sit, stand and move about the inside of the facility to manage the workforce.
  • Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as; copy machine, printers, etc.
  • Lifting and handling of boxes and/or materials up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job; close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
