Job Description:
Position Overview:
The Sales Associate supports our sales operations process and best practices to impact new business development and sales expansion. Responsibilities of this position include the following: lead a successful inbound and referral lead process, support overall sales operations initiatives to build and sustain a scalable sales process, and build trust and meaningful relationships with clients. The Sales Associate will have direct contact with various types of client industries and solutions, while working alongside talented and diverse, client-focused teams.
Areas of Focus:
  • Reviews and responds to all inbound sales inquires
  • Qualifies potential customers' requests by understanding expected outcomes, budget range, and scope of potential client deliverables
  • Effectively schedules new business sales meetings to include creating the right call environment (video line and conference room), pre-call communications, proposed agenda and ensuring all required team members can attend
  • Collect relevant information on the potential client to ensure team is prepared on the client’s industry and summary of the initial inquiry
  • Effective notetaking and follow-up to sales meetings to include tracking in CRM, client email follow-up and internal team communication on next steps
  • Carefully tracks sales progress in CRM system to ensure timely and effective communication to potential clients
  • Supports partners and business development leaders with referral leads by crafting solution presentations and proposals
  • Supports sales data reporting to effectively communicate current progress and insights to sales team
  • Collaborates with Director of Sales to consistently identify opportunities to improve sales process and effectively make changes
  • Collaborates with Marketing to scale demand lead generation
  • Applies a sales mindset and desire to expand impact to all of the above responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly someone who can execute and complete multiple checklists simultaneously
  • Experience in developing and expanding client relationships
  • Strong verbal written communication skills
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage and work effectively with ambiguity
  • Highly motivated and with a growth mindset to reach company sales goals
  • Proven track record of following a sales process and successful conversion rate of new leads to new opportunities
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, and Excel)
  • Familiarity with CRM best practices
  • Strong prioritization, time management and organizational skills
  • Receptive to feedback and coaching
  • Other responsibilities as needed to help drive to our vision, mission and live by our values
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Formal training and experience in inbound/outbound sales processes
  • At least 3 years of relevant, proven work experience in sales processes preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree desired
Travel:
Occasional domestic and/or global travel may be required for this position.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those performed in the job duties. The team member sits at a desk and uses a computer for prolonged periods of time. Performing the role frequently uses close vision, speech, hearing, and dexterity to operate office equipment. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
