SAL Community Center Staff Member Job at The Salvation Army
Summary: Help with the day-to-day activities of the After-School Program and any other community center programs as assigned. These include but are not limited to recreation activities, helping tutor & supervise the homework room, and encouraging teens to come to youth group events.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be aware of and follow all safety precautions and procedures.
- Help with the maintenance of all areas used by the program.
- Assist with the preparation and distribution of daily snack.
- Assist the director in whatever manner needed.
- Work possible seasonal hours based on community center programming.
- Must be on time.
- Ready to perform to the best of their abilities in all areas of the program.
- Use the outreach opportunity to its fullest potential.
- Aware of the mission statement of The Salvation Army and make every effort
to be a positive representative of The Salvation Army, both on and off site.
- Ability and willingness to promote and comply with the Mission Statement of The Salvation Army.
- Must be professional at all times.
- Requests for time off need to be submitted in writing two weeks in advance.
Qualifications: At least 16 years of age; some formal work with youth preferred.
Education/Experience: High school, and college experience preferred
