Roustabout

Job Summary

The GDS Roustabout is tasked with various job duties including but not limited to, installing containment, painting, lawn care, cleanup work, frac tank inspections, building and grounds maintenance, and fueling and hauling of field equipment on Coterra Energy well sites, natural gas locations and water withdrawal locations in Susquehanna County, Pa. In addition, Roustabouts will be responsible to set up and operate field equipment such as telehandlers, manlifts, light towers, pumps, and heaters.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week and overtime as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive daily job assignments from the Dept. Field Coordinator or Dept. Foreman.
  • Operate company-owned pickup trucks & equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Also care for and maintain the vehicle that is assigned for the day.
  • Complete daily D.V.I.R. inspections, ERT Inspections, daily work orders and JSEA paperwork.
  • Maintain all company owned and leased tools and property.
  • Perform all work assignments in a safe and efficient manner, minimizing unnecessary non-billable time when possible.
  • Enter time into Workday at the end of each shift and submit hours at the end of each week.
  • Follow all GDS and Coterra Energy safety guidelines and wear proper PPE every day.
  • Follow all GDS handbook policies and ethics practices.
  • Proper reporting of safety violations and damaged assets.
  • All work is to be conducted in a professional and a courteous manner.
  • Follow direction from GDS leadership and on-site consultants.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Complete an OSHA 10 General Industry Safety Course within 180 days of employment.
  • Pass and obtain a D.O.T. physical within 30 days of employment.
  • Complete all required GDS safety and leadership training at a time designated by management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Must be able to work for 12 hours at a time including both walking and standing.
  • Ability to use both powered and non-powered hand tools
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND

Work is typically performed outdoors. Exposure to conditions, such as extreme heat or cold is likely. Incumbents in this position must be able to operate company vehicles and equipment physically and legally. Employees must be able to perform work which requires walking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, repeated heavy lifting (50 lbs), and climbing, including steps and vertical ladders. Personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to head protection, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety shoes and flame resistant clothing is required. Safety rules including OSHA requirements are strictly enforced. Employees must be willing to travel and work extended hours on short notice.

This position requires a valid state issued driver’s license, and employees must pass an initial drug and alcohol screening at hire. Incumbents in the position may be subject to random drug and alcohol screenings as per the DOT Regulations. Required to travel between field sites to perform daily tasks.
