Blazer Industries, Inc. is a privately owned and operated commercial construction company. We are on the search for an experienced roofing carpenter to join our team.
We build a large assortment of projects and work with many different building materials, so there is variety in the day-to-day work of these positions. We have a diverse range of projects that include office buildings of various sizes, public municipalities, multi-story schools, and healthcare facilities.
We keep our work environment clean and have a very strong focus on safety, including following all current CDC recommended practices for manufacturing environments. All work is done at our site in Aumsville, Oregon, 7 miles East of Salem, so there is no additional travel.
Day to Day Duties:
- Construct roof frame per construction blueprints in various styles such as gable, traverse, hip, flat, bow, box, shed, hinge truss, architectural overhangs, etc.
- Accurately square the roof.
- Install insulation into roof cavity.
- Deck roof or install ceiling finishes.
Job requirements:
- Knowledge and ability to safely operate equipment and tools to complete the job
- Ability to lift, move or carry 50-100 lbs
- This work requires physical strength and agility necessary to perform heavy manual labor.
- Reliable attendance
- Must be able to read and interpret construction plans.
- We want a minimum of 3 years? roofing experience.
