Position Summary

Responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling and directing the activities of the Retail Analytics team in support of the organization’s overall analytics and governance strategy. Develops and implements plans, policies and goals which support and complement the Credit Union’s mission to create a collaborative data minded culture. This sales support unit works in partnership with Retail Delivery, Member Experience and Marketing partners to enhance the utilization and delivery of information. Various Information Management functions to include, but is not limited to Data Governance, Visualization and Architecture. This role also provides guidance to Data Stewards, Data Custodians and Data Project Teams. Coaches and mentors Business resources assigned to support the various related initiatives.

Qualifications/Experience
  • At least seven years of professional experience in data analytics or data engineering roles or functions. Management experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of understanding of data capabilities and use.
  • Complete knowledge of Information Management and Data Governance practices and guiding principles.
  • Development and management of core data catalogs and data domains.
  • Integration of metadata management and data modelling processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of Financial Institution services and products.
  • Understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with Operations and Branch functions, policies, and procedures.
  • Proven ability in establishing standardized processes and procedures related to analytic and report development.
  • Ability to build out informational tools, processes and accelerators that facilitate usage and reduce delivery time of operations and initiatives.
  • Capable of implementing decision making framework for managing availability, accessibility, completeness, consistency, timeliness and quality of data.
  • Ability in establishing a DG/DQ process including measurement, tools, methodology, and integration into the organization.
  • Ability in establishing a centralized metadata repository / glossary that contains business and technical definitions, transformational logic, and lineage information with an easy to use, searchable user interface that works with enterprise data.
  • Ability to perform and coach others on self-service analysis of data to understand historical results and predict future activities and results.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills.
  • Well organized.
  • Ability to operate related computer applications and related business equipment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to maintain an effective and efficient work flow.
