We are looking for an experience Restaurant General Manager to be responsible for maintaining the standards of customer service and integrity for the entire restaurant staff, both Front of House and Back of House; for the day-to-day operations of the restaurant/bar all while maintaining the REBELLION concept in a safe, clean, and responsible environment. Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills required.

The restaurant has three levels – main bar area, dining area and private cigar room. And the role of General Manager is very hands-on and wears many different hats.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maximize the value of an appealing atmosphere in the restaurant
  • Lead by example, and manage all aspects of floor operations (FOH and BOH)
  • Establish leadership by setting examples through your own behavior and decision making
  • Ensures all staff is on-time, in proper uniform and maintaining personal hygiene standards
  • Ensure all staff comply with company policy
  • Ensures compliance with all local and state mandated Alcohol Board regulations
  • Hire, train, and orient restaurant staff following company policies
  • Spend time on the floor with guests to learn, address concerns and solve problems
  • Ensure safety and food quality standards are always met
  • Be responsive to guests needs, keeping them happy and handling complaints
  • Scheduling staff shifts and tracking hours
  • Recording payroll data
  • Oversee TOAST and Margin Edge systems during day to day operations
  • Conduct monthly inventory
  • Maintain all cost centers and be able to identify areas of loss.
  • Ordering equipment and supplies
  • Arranging for FOH equipment repair, maintenance, and replacement
  • Lead weekly restaurant team meetings
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all products and new products
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness and efficiency of the bar and all related storage areas
  • All bar and related equipment must be fully functional and up to Health Code standards
  • Responsible for assigning these tasks to staff, creating cleaning schedules, and ensuring all tasks are completed at the end of the day using a bar cleaning checklist.
  • Oversee all department heads and ensure AOR’s are being adhered to.
  • Support and sustain other duties assigned

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years restaurant management experience is required.
  • Hospitality related Associates Degree or higher (preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise sound judgement
  • Ability to fluently understand Profit & Loss statements, costs controls, and restaurant operations.
  • Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue and forecasting
  • Strong communication and PC skills
  • Ability and acknowledgement of long periods of standing, periodic lifting of heavy items, and non-standard work hours (e.g. outside of M-F/9-5)
