About Jerritt Canyon

First Majestic acquired the Jerritt Canyon Gold Mine from Sprott Mining Inc. on April 30, 2021. The Jerritt Canyon property contains 30,821 hectares of mining claims located in the mining friendly state of Nevada. The Jerritt Canyon deposit was discovered in 1972 and first gold production from the property occurred in 1981.
The Jerritt Canyon Gold District is located in Elko County, northeastern Nevada. The Carlin-type gold mineralization at Jerritt Canyon is hosted by silty carbonate or carbonaceous siliciclastic rocks originally deposited as shelf sedimentary rocks during the Paleozoic Era.

The Opportunity

As Reliability Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and directing all reliability centered maintenance programs. Preforming regular risk-based inspections and analyzing all equipment failures process work areas. This role will interact with a team of other professional process maintenance personnel. The Reliability Engineer will develop and maintain all reliability plans and processes, perform tests, and recommend improvements to maintain operational reliability in all project areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical system design solutions based on engineering principles
• Ensure relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed for all engineering designs.
• Perform engineering calculations to specify and size mechanical equipment including flotation cells, conveyors, pumps, blowers, compressors, control valves, regulators, relief valves, pipe and other associated process equipment
• Prepare drawings including PFDs, PIDs, General Arrangements, Mechanical & Piping Details, Piping plans, sections and details, and pipeline alignment sheets for process engineering design
• Prepare technical documents including specifications, datasheets, technical bid analysis, etc.
• Manage all reliability processes and recommend required standardized procedures and equipment

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide support to all engineering and maintenance programs and design all product specifications
• Monitor all product issues and perform root causes analysis on all premature wear or Failures
• Coordinate with operations to execute all reliability centered maintenance programs
• Perform regular risk-based inspections and analyze all equipment failures
• Work closely with the operational development team to ensure that operational and maintenance requirements are incorporated into mechanical design and specifications
• Ensure reliability centered maintenance procedures are in place and followed.
• Compile relevant reporting requirements
• Participate in other reviews such as engineering, maintenance, operational and construction reviews
• Manage all reliability processes and recommend required standardized procedures and equipment

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in occupational mechanical engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 5-10 years of experience in mining or projects involving mining/mineral processing, with demonstrated leadership roles
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in team environment
• Previous work in mineral processing would be an advantage
• Exhibit care and concern for fellow colleagues
• Willingness to work in and support an environment free from bureaucracy
• Ability to approach work with flexibility and agility as changing business needs arise
