Overview:



Texas Oncology is looking for a Reimbursement Analyst to join our team! This full time remote position will support the Payment Variance department at our Richardson Central Business Office location at 3001 East President Goerge Bush Hwy. There will be occasional travel to the office for meetings and training ao the candidate must reside close to our offices. Typical work scheudule is Monday-Friday; 6:00am to 5:30pm on a flex schedule.

What does the Patient Support Administrator do? (including but not limited to)

Under general supervision, supports the managed care functions and strategies. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities (including but not limited to)
  • Conducts detailed monthly payor audits to identify trends in reimbursement issues of payors. Conducts ad-hoc analysis in support of managed care activities.
  • Prepares and analyzes reports on reimbursement trends Documents and communicates findings to managed care and practice management teams to ensure optimal reimbursement.
  • Assists contract managers with renegotiations of fee schedules; provides information to validate proposed fee schedule changes.
  • Participates in quarterly provider relations meetings with health plan representatives to discuss reimbursement issues.
  • Updates and maintains reimbursement schedule information on the shared server as contracts are renegotiated.
  • Performs analysis and reimbursement functions in strict accordance to HCFA regulations and all local, state, and federal laws.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality of patient and financial information in assigned area of responsibility.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the position will have the following background and experience:
  • Associates degree in Finance, Accounting or related business degree and
  • A minimum of four years experience in healthcare reimbursement, managed care or finance; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Prior experience in statistical and financial analysis required.
