Registered Respiratory Therapist

Schedule: Full-time, 12hr Night shift

Location: 1555 Barrington Road, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169

Responsibilities

· Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.

· Assess patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis.

· Implement and monitor patient care plans and equipment.

· Monitor, record and communicate patient condition.

· Perform advanced respiratory care modalities.

· Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.

· Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provide information about community support groups and other available programs.

· Respond to emergency resuscitation team code.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

· BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

· Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained within 4 Months (120 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

· Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

· Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

· Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

· Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

· Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.

· Respiratory Therapist specializing in Critical Care credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Salary: $32.00 - $37.00 per hour

• 12 hour shift
• Night shift

• Neuro: 1 year (Preferred)
• Robotics: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• RRT (Preferred)

• American Board of Radiology Certification (Preferred)
