Registered Nurse (RN)
Ophthalmology Multi Doctor practice in Frankfort and Lexington, KY is looking for a Registered Nurse to assist in patient care at our surgical suite and brand new surgery center in Frankfort, KY. As a registered nurse, you’ll be our go-to person for ensuring the best patient care possible. As a Registered Nurse, you’ll have to work closely with other healthcare professionals and other ophthalmic assistants and technicians, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills and communication ability are important.

Responsibilities may include :

• Examine patients and their medical records, workup patients in clinic, ophthalmic testing as needed.
• Preparing patients for Eye Surgery including getting vitals, instilling eye drops and handling preoperative medications.
• OR room circulating or OR surgical scrub as needed.
• Surgical Inventory management
• Helping patients with discharge instructions.

Skills

• Proven experience as an RN in a clinic, hospital, ASC or other setting
• Expertise in preoperative, surgical and post operative care a plus.
• Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong ethics
• Team spirit with a positive attitude
• Patience and cool-headedness
• Willingness to travel between offices
• Valid RN license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 26.00 - $32.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
Covid vaccination is required for this job as the RN will be working in our ASC.
