Registered Nurse - Operating Room Job at Pediatric Specialists of Virginia

They are seeking an experienced OR Nurse to work in their established, Ambulatory Surgery Center that focuses on quality pediatric specialty care. Job Description
The OR RN’s duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Circulating or scrubbing during surgery
- Communicating with pre-op and PACU departments to ensure a safe perioperative experience
- Patient assessment, positioning, prep, and thorough, accurate documentation
- Working with the intraoperative team to provide a safe environment for patients
- Using infection control practices and sterile technique
- Checking and monitoring all equipment used during surgery
- Assisting as needed with inventory and restocking supplies
- Pulling cases and ensuring surgeon needs are met for procedures
- Assisting with anesthesia as needed
- OR set-up, turnover, and end of day break down
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications Required
- Registered Nurse currently licensed in Virginia
- Graduated from an approved school of nursing
- Current BLS certification
- All employees must pass an employment TB, drug and physical exam
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years OR experience
- Scrubbing experience
- PALS/ACLS
- Experience with EMR
- BSN
