Customized Living Nurse Position - OPEN


Come join the Clare Housing team! We’re looking for an RN to fill a key role in helping people living with HIV or AIDS maintain their health and housing. Clare Housing is a Minneapolis-based non-profit dedicated to providing a continuum of affordable and supportive housing options that create healing communities and optimize the health of people living with HIV/AIDS.


This hands-on role will provide care to individuals who have histories of unstable housing and co-occurring medical conditions. The Nurse will work at a Clare Housing apartment building to provide nursing care to residents enrolled in our Customized Living program. The Nurse will report to the Clare Housing Nurse Manager and will work closely with a team of dedicated service providers (including 24/7 resident assistant desk staff) to help people maintain housing. Working at Clare is an exciting opportunity to work closely with individuals who have experienced a range of traumas and housing instability, and to make a lasting difference in people’s lives.


Our ideal candidate will have experience working as a nurse with people living with HIV or AIDS, as well as an aptitude for working with people who were formerly unhoused with mental illness or substance use related conditions. This position is primarily on-site, although limited hybrid options would be considered.

Major responsibilities
include the following:

  • Provide skilled nursing to residents living with HIV/AIDS
  • Implement harm-reduction and housing-first strategies
  • Complete both new and renewal nursing assessments and participate in care planning for Customized Living residents
  • Provide training and support to non-licensed staff in the performance of appropriate delegated nursing tasks
  • Work as a part of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care for Customized Living residents
  • Complete weekly medication administration for each resident
  • Properly document information in a timely manner for each Customized Living resident and review each resident’s records to ensure accuracy

Salary range = $75,000 - $90,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
