ER nurses work quickly, efficiently, and meticulously. In order to treat the most critical patients in the most thorough manner, ER nurses use their specialized skills and extensive knowledge of disease pathology to provide interventions that sustain life.

About this unit:

• 18 Bed ER

• Care for patients of any age, Senior Friendly ER, 20% of visits are pediatrics

• Amazing teamwork throughout all levels – Physicians, Leadership, RNs, PCTs.

  Responsibilities:

• The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides patient care through utilization of the nursing process. The nursing process is demonstrated by the staff registered nurse’s ability to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary health care team in planning, directing, implementing, and evaluating patient care. May supervise RN's, LPN's, technicians, unit secretaries, nursing students, and nursing assistants.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Current RN License or compact license in the State of Louisiana; Bachelor's Degree or Nurse Diploma
• ER experience
• Current Basic Life Support
• Current ACLS
• Current PALS or ENPC
• 
  Current NCI

  Current TNCC

Lakeview Regional Medical Center, established in 1977, is a 167-bed, full service, acute care hospital. It offers the most advanced medical and surgical technologies in state-of-the-art facilities available to St. Tammany Parish residents, including Lacombe, Abita Springs, Mandeville, Madisonville, and Slidell. Our emergency department is the first Level II Trauma Center on the Northshore. It is the only local ER staffed with all board-certified physicians. The Joint Commission recognizes our neurosciences and stroke center for providing the highest standards of care. It continues to introduce the latest breakthroughs in advanced treatment for life-threatening, debilitating strokes, and heart attacks.

Lakeview Regional’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Center provides the highest level of treatment in speech, physical, and occupational therapies. Our Women’s Center offers compassionate family-centered care for women’s physical and emotional well-being from pre-pregnancy through post-menopause and is designated a baby-friendly facility.

The Lakeview Behavioral Health Center, for patients aged 55 and over, is the only inpatient health facility in the Southeast region with all private rooms. The Joint Commission and the Department of Health & Hospitals have accredited this short-term, 24-bed unit.

Lakeview Regional Physician Group employs over 30 physicians who see patients at 11 convenient locations on the Northshore providing care in family medicine, general surgery, heart care, internal medicine, orthopedics, and vascular care.
