This a great opportunity to be a part of a growing Company supporting Enterprise Distribution efforts. Dollar Tree is seeking an experienced and collaborative DC Area Asset Protection Manager to support Asset Protection efforts for a defined geographic zone of up to 10 Distribution Centers. The Area Asset Protection Manager will work closely with the Enterprise Facility Leadership Team (Operations and Transportation) as well as SSC Asset Protection and Distribution support teams to proactively investigate, develop, recommend and implement programs, procedures, techniques, and equipment, which will ensure the security of DC employees and the protection of our assets in a dynamic working environment. Provide guidance to DC personnel on detecting and preventing loss. The ideal candidate must possess leadership and people management skills, strong communication skills, quantitative rigor, and must be able to exercise independent judgment and work collaboratively with Dollar Tree’s / Family Dollar’s varied operational functions. The position is field based and reports directly to the Director – Distribution Asset Protection

Specifically, Your Responsibilities Will Include

Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Facility Leadership Team, Field Leadership Team and the SSC Asset Protection and Distribution Teams to provide appropriate business support on all issues pertaining to, Asset Protection, Inventory Control, Crisis Management, Site Security and Business Continuity. Integrate with daily operational processes to ensure Enterprise standards and expectations are appropriately in place. Work proactively to identify any new risks and work with partners to implement solutions. Partner with the Director – Distribution Asset Protection on continuing business needs and solutions to address. Track, and report on key performance indicators and reporting to help mitigate risk and identify trends and root causes. Conduct team member and group training sessions to educate DC employees in regards to DC goals including the awareness of Asset Protection programs and means to mitigate shrink. In partnership with the Director – Distribution Asset Protection, provide project management support for key initiatives within the Distribution Centers. Ensure investigations of internal and external theft and fraud are properly and timely conducted, in close partnership with HR and applicable operating departments. Be an active member in the local community representing Dollar tree / Family Dollar specifically with local police, fire, prosecuting offices, and emergency management agencies. Foster open and productive working relationships with other applicable company departments Exercise prudent discretion regarding confidential and sensitive personnel information Perform other duties as assigned Domestic travel required up to 50%
Minimum Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following fields, Asset Protection, Distribution Operations, Warehousing, and Fulfillment At least 5 years of experience having multiple facility responsibility. Experience working with security systems, such as CCTV, card access, fire intrusion and alarm systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and data-driven skill set Experience implementing Shrink Mitigation programs to improve company profitability in collaboration with partners within a complex business environment Experience working closely and communicating effectively with diverse set of stakeholders in an ever-changing, rapid growth environment with tight deadlines; Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment while maintaining flexibility and a collaborative attitude Experience investigating and resolving theft and fraud issues. Able to help create, develop and implement process improvement(s) Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks Crisis Management Leadership experience Must promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners Knowledge of how to utilize Microsoft systems.
