Receptionist- Full Time - Days

Dock Medical believes that “Seeing the Doctor should be Painless.” We are taking care to our patients, where they live and when they need it with technologically advanced Primary Care medical practices that offer both Urgent and Specialty Care services.

Our innovative team of staff and providers are dedicated to delivering true patient centered care with extended weekday & weekend hours and convenient online access via our patient portal. We are leveraging the latest technology to bring advanced diagnostics to our patients, at the Point-of-Care, seamlessly integrated with our Electronic Health Record (EHR), Athena. We combine the strength of our team, technology, and operational support to streamline the patient experience, eliminating the delays, barriers, and frustrations all too common in healthcare.

Duties:

o Serve patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts

o Welcome patients and visitors on the telephone and answering or referring inquiries

o Optimize patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments by telephone

o Comfort patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties and answering patients’ questions.

o Help patients in distress by responding to emergencies o Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information

o Facilitate patient flow, working closely with our multidisciplinary office team

o Participate in outreach activities to recruit new patients in the community

o Perform other duties as necessary or as directed by supervisor and/or provider

Requirements:

o At least 1 year of experience being a medical assistant or a receptionist at a doctor's office

o You have a very outgoing personality and enjoy working alongside and engaging with a variety of people/personalities.

Salary: $20-$23 per hour (can increase depending on experience)

Work Environment
Outpatient medical practice with some intermittent off-site outreach work to recruit new patients and screen attendees at community events. Potential exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions providing health care proactively managed by in-house experts.

Mental/Physical Requirements
Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to use a variety of office equipment. May require working under stressful conditions.
